Overview

NestEgg is a financial-independence planning app. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. NestEgg does not show ads and does not sell your data. You can use the core planner without creating an account.

Information you provide

The app stores the planning inputs you enter — such as your age, income, savings, expenses, net worth, and retirement assumptions. This information is used only to calculate and display your FIRE projections. It is stored locally on your device, and, if you sign in, synced to your account (see below).

Accounts and sign-in

Sign-in is optional. You may explore the app anonymously and attach an account later. If you choose to sign in, you can use Sign in with Apple, Google, or your phone number. When you sign in we receive a user identifier (and, depending on the method, an email address or phone number) used solely to authenticate you and sync your plan across your devices.

Cloud sync

When you are signed in, your plan is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) so it stays in sync across your devices. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and is accessible only to your authenticated account. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google's Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics

To keep the app stable, we use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic information (such as device model, operating-system version, and the state of the app at the time of a crash). This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems and is not used to identify you.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — which screens are opened, which features are used, and events such as completing setup or starting a purchase — so we can decide what to build and fix next. These events are associated with your account identifier and with coarse properties such as whether you are on the free or paid tier. We do not collect the values you enter into your plan (income, savings, expenses, net worth or projections) as analytics events, and we do not use an advertising identifier or share this data with advertisers. Analytics collection is disabled entirely in development builds.

Purchases

NestEgg Pro is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Data retention and deletion

Data stored locally is removed when you delete the app. If you have an account, you can delete that account and everything synced with it at any time from Settings → Delete account inside NestEgg; deletion takes effect immediately and is not recoverable. If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email admin@runebyte.app and we will delete the account for you within 30 days of verifying the request. You can also request deletion of specific data without deleting your account.

Deleting your account removes your account identifier and every plan value you entered — income, savings, expenses, net worth, retirement assumptions, saved scenarios and app preferences — from Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, with no additional retention period. Purchase records held by Apple or Google, and anonymous Crashlytics diagnostics that are not linked to your account (retained up to 90 days), are not covered by account deletion. Children

NestEgg is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
