Privacy Policy
Overview
FIRE Path is a financial-independence planning app. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. FIRE Path does not show ads and does not sell your data. You can use the core planner without creating an account.
Information you provide
The app stores the planning inputs you enter — such as your age, income, savings, expenses, net worth, and retirement assumptions. This information is used only to calculate and display your FIRE projections. It is stored locally on your device, and, if you sign in, synced to your account (see below).
Accounts and sign-in
Sign-in is optional. You may explore the app anonymously and attach an account later. If you choose to sign in, you can use Sign in with Apple, Google, or your phone number. When you sign in we receive a user identifier (and, depending on the method, an email address or phone number) used solely to authenticate you and sync your plan across your devices.
Cloud sync
When you are signed in, your plan is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) so it stays in sync across your devices. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and is accessible only to your authenticated account. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google's Privacy Policy.
Diagnostics
To keep the app stable, we use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic information (such as device model, operating-system version, and the state of the app at the time of a crash). This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems and is not used to identify you.
Purchases
FIRE Path Pro is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored locally is removed when you delete the app. If you have an account, you can request deletion of your synced data at any time by contacting us at the address below; we will delete the data associated with your account. Deleting your account removes your synced plan from our systems.
Children
FIRE Path is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
