Delete your account
This page applies to the FIRE Path app by Runebyte. You can delete your account and all of its data yourself from inside the app, or request deletion by email.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (immediate)
This is the fastest way and takes effect right away.
- Open FIRE Path and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. You may be asked to sign in again with Apple, Google, or your phone number to verify it is really you.
Your account and synced plan are deleted as soon as you confirm. This cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you. Send the request from the email address associated with the account (or include your phone number if you signed in by phone) so we can verify ownership.
We verify the request and delete your account within 30 days. If the request comes from a different address than the one on the account, we may ask for additional verification before deleting anything.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes every plan value you entered, stored in our cloud sync (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore):
- Your account and sign-in identifier
- Your income, savings, expenses, and net-worth figures
- Your retirement assumptions and chosen FIRE style
- Your saved scenarios and app preferences
There is no additional retention period for this data — it is removed at the time of deletion and is not recoverable.
What is not deleted
- Purchase records. Purchases are processed and held by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Anonymous diagnostics. Crash and performance reports collected by Firebase Crashlytics are not linked to your account and cannot be traced back to you. These are retained for up to 90 days under their own policies.
Anything stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
